Rentals include PFDs (life jackets), anchors, and all other required Coast Guard safety equipment. Please provide your own sunscreen, ice, food and drinks, unless otherwise pre-arranged. Most boats have Color Chart Plotter/Sounders with moving maps. All have Depth Sounders to help you navigate safely through the local waters. Some of our fishing oriented boats have nets and other equip. on board . Don’t be afraid to ask if you need something on board. We strongly recommend you have a cell phone on board for emergency communications.
Our rental boats have hydraulic steering, economical and well maintained outboards. All have Bimini or Tee Tops for sun protection.. Renters must describe their boating experience and sign our Read Sample standard boat rental contract. A Credit Card deposit of 10% of rental price is required to hold reservations. Deposit is refundable up to 7 days before rental period is scheduled to begin. Any rentals cancelled by us or by weather (small craft advisory cancels any rentals) will have deposit refunded. Responsible party must have current drivers license and provide valid driver's license number and a valid Credit Card number when taking delivery of boat. Gas is not included in rental price. Boats will be delivered full and you may refill before return at one of our local fuel docks,[Miller Marine or Scipio Creek Marina] or we can "fill and bill" for you.We use non ethanol fuel exclusively.
Our standard rentals begin and end at Battery Park Marina in Apalachicola (See yellow marker on this map.). We may deliver and pick up at other locations but outside of Apalachicola an additional charge will apply and availability of this service is not guaranteed. Rentals will be ready at the ramps in Apalachicola by 9 AM, other ramps may be later, see chart below. A complete orientation will be provided and boats are due back at pre-arranged drop-off point at the pre arranged time on last day of See sample contract. Multi-day rentals must provide safe dockage, either private dock, marina slip or other approved situation, for boat for the duration of the contract. Consecutive day rentals that require us to either secure boat or take boat out of water and return it the next day will not be eligible for multi-day rental pricing. If our slip in Battery Park's Ten Foot Hole Marina is available, you may be able to use that as the home for the boat for the rental period. Availability is not guaranteed. Also, the city often has transient slips available and if you secure safe dockage for the boat ahead of time, that works for us. Customers are responsible for the boats while in their possession.
