Everything starts with a message. Use the contact form on this site and it reaches us directly. We read messages through the day and usually reply the same day in season, and always within two working days outside it.
What to tell us
The three things that let us answer properly in one reply are the dates you have in mind, how many people are in the party, and roughly what you want to do on the water. A group of two who want to fish the flats at dawn and a family of five who want a shaded afternoon on the bay need different boats, and telling us which you are saves an exchange of messages.
Useful detail
- Experience. Tell us plainly how much time you have spent operating a boat. It changes what we recommend, not whether we say yes.
- Children in the party. Numbers and ages, so the right life jackets are aboard before you arrive.
- Half day or full day. These are genuinely different trips in this heat.
- Flexibility on dates. Weather moves plans here more often than anything else, and knowing your margin helps.
Weather and cancellations
Conditions decide a great deal on this coast. If the forecast for your day looks wrong for the boat or the party we will say so in advance rather than let you drive down for nothing. Summer afternoon thunderstorms are a normal feature of the season rather than an exception, and the usual answer is an early start rather than a cancellation.
Finding us
Apalachicola is on the coast road in Franklin County, in the Florida panhandle, a couple of hours from the nearest large airports either side. There is no useful public transport, so plan on driving. Once you are in town everything is close together and parking is not a problem outside the busiest weekends of the year.
If you have written and not heard back within two working days, the message did not reach us. Send it again rather than assuming the answer was no.
